A TANGO WITH A MANGO AND THE GOOD OLD DAYS ... NOT

After two weeks on the road I wake up in my Anglesey hiding place and I'm still tired. It's time for a detox, thinks me. So, I postpone the morning coffee, arm myself with a knife and place my 'ripe and ready' mango on the chopping board . So far so good. The mango sits there waiting like a good little mango while I give it a good coat of looking-at. No matter how many times I attempt to peel a mango I still end up with juice dripping off my elbows. Ditto this morning. But it was nothing that a shower wouldn't fix, and having a fix of vitamins A, B6, C and E, plus potassium and copper made my mess worthwhile (I know, I'm a boring foodie but it works for me).

The Bradshaws "Goosed" show is back on the road for another six dates and the opener at New Mills Art Theatre on Friday was good therapy after driving up and down motorways all month for radio interviews. I really enjoy radio but motorway driving gooses me (did you see what I did then?). Anyway, I love going out doing the live shows and it gives me the chance to meet the Bradshaws fans. As usual I came away with a big daft grin and loads of ideas for stories. But, let it be put on record that I think 'the good old days' that some people wish they had back weren't that good!...
